And the greatest of these is Love. . .

Kathy and Ralph wanted some photos for their 40th anniversary. 40 years, and they still very obviously adore each other. They definitely have that something that rest of us hope to have with our spouse--I don't know if it's pure love, respect, wonder, harmony, or a combination of all those things and more, but Ralph and Kathy have "it"!

RETRO!

Oh, my gosh, what fun this was! Two of my favorite young models came to the studio. Dylan wanted some shots with his retro shirt, and Brooke wanted to model for me. I love these two!!! Here are a few from the session:

About Denise

I am a full time wife, mother, and middle school secretary who has recently rediscovered a love of photography. Joining with a friend to edit portraits led to the reawakening of my passion.

Backroads Photography by Denise is my way of pursuing my passion. I believe that time passes quickly, and portraits are a wonderful way of preserving special memories. Memories of all the "special times" in life (newborn, first birthday, senior, engagement, wedding, anniversary, etc), but also memories that capture the special qualities of each individual.

"Backroads" was the name I chose because I think the most interesting part of life is not to be found on the main track, but rather in the "backroads" of our lives. Those twists and turns that lead us to where we are, and take us where we want to go. I'd like to help you remember the journey through portraits.

I can come to you for portraits in your home, your backyard, your "backroad", or we can create wonderful portraits in my studio. Parks and creeks are always fun venues as well. My goal is to capture you and your personality so those memories can be cherished forever.
